AHA BLS CPR Initial/Renewal Course:

The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

Features
  • Reflects science and education from the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC.
  • Instructor-led, hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency.
  • Emphasis on high-quality CPR including a team dynamics classroom activity.
  • Video-based course with real world scenarios.
  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
  • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components.
  • Use of an AED.
  • Effective ventilations using a barrier device.
  • Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR.
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants.

AHA ACLS Renewal Course:

This is a refresher/renewal course only, not an initial certification course.

The ACLS Instructor-led course teaches the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, high-performance teams, early and continuous high-quality CPR, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

Features:
  • Emphasis on preventing cardiac arrest, early and continuous high-quality CPR, integration of BLS into ACLS and importance of high-performing teams.
  • Hands-on team dynamics classroom activities.
  • Video-based course with real world scenarios. Includes realistic, clinical scenarios that encourage active participation - delivered through actual patient videos and lifelike simulations.
  • Hands-on class format to reinforce skills proficiency.

AHA PALS Renewal Course:

This is a refresher/renewal course only, not an initial certification course.

The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts.

Features:
  • Includes realistic, clinical scenarios that encourage active participation - delivered through actual pediatric patient videos and lifelike simulations.
